What size PVC pipe and what size thread rod would I use to make a piston pin puller? What is a good set of inexpensive feeler gauges? Cheapest place to buy the cometic top end kit C9844 which includes the .030? Thanks.

You don't need any special tool to remove the piston pin. Just take a long extension and a socket that is slightly smaller then the pin's diameter, and tap it out with a hammer.

Didn't think of that, thanks. How did you tackle the pin circlip without the special tool?
You can pick the circlips out with a scratch awl. You have to be much more careful putting them back in, so you are certain they are completely in. You don't want to find out you were wrong at 4000 rpm.

You can get the circlip out with a small pick............that's what I used.
Getting them back in..........that's a different story. Make sure you have rags in the case openings to make sure they don't fly in there, and keep your hand over them when trying to reinstall them. I used a small set of needle nose pliers and a small blade screwdriver. I pushed in one side of it and held in place with my thumb, then I used the needle nose pliers to grab the other side and push it into the groove. The small screwdriver is then used to push it all the way into the groove.
Make sure it is fully seated in the groove.............it would be very vey bad if it wasnt.
if you buy from GMR, steve may just let you borry the circlip tool...however there's a trick to usin it...may be just as easy to fiddle em in with your fingers and a small flatblade(if you got tough fingers that is)
Sears has a cheap set of feeler gauges and make sure to wear a pair of safety glasses when attempting to put the circlips in, they will fly out if you slip.
