For the money you can't go wrong! I'm still waiting for a side by side with the new LEDs. I can't believe they're better then HIDs.
I had both in my 2009 Ultra. I started with the Harley HID and that was great over the incandescent. Then I went with the Harley LED spots and headlamp and WOW, a HUGE difference over the HID.
I really like the look of the Harley LED headlights but man do they cost a pretty penny.
They actually only cost around $20 a pair which is not to much. You can get motorcycle hid kit for pretty cheap to. I like http://premierhidlights.com/

Not HID, we're talking LED lights, HUGE difference
Install Time: Look at my post times. I was able to do the install, take pics and write everything up in 19 minutes.
REMEMBER - DO NOT TOUCH THE BULB WITH YOUR FINGERS!
If you can play this game, you can do this with your eyes closed.
1. Unscrew phillips screw at bottom of the bezel and pull bezel off from the bottom. There is a clip that holds it in place at the top.
2. Remove the 4, T20 Torx Screws. Becareful removing the last, the headlight will want to fall forward.
3. Remove the rubber plug on top of the lightbulb and then the clip that hold the bulb in place. You CAN push all your wires through that plug as seen in my pictures. DO NOT TOUCH THE HID BULB. The oil from your fingers will cause almost immediate failure.
Once the new HID bulb is in the headlamp housing, plug the rest of the wires together, they only fit ONE way and all are keyed. The 2 prong plug will fit into the the factory harness. See pictures below.
I shoved the ballast and ignitor in the left side of the fairing. I would recommend using double sided velcro though so that you can detach/reattach if you need to remove your fairing.

Would the custom dynamics kit be as easy to install?
I bought 3 sets, all 35/55 hi/low bulbs. I got the dual set for my RG and 2 single sets for the kids bikes. When they came in all 3 had the dual light automotive harness that was 4 feet between the light connections. I shortened the one for the RG so it would all fit in the fairing neatly, so the SG and XR are going to be a bitch to hide everything.
One thing I noticed is the bulb base assemblies are about 3/4" longer than stock and they hit the frame and I couldnt install the headlight assembly or use the Hells foundry bezel cover without adjusting the light housings out a few turns.
They were cheap to begin with so well see how long they last. I carry my original bulbs and harness just in case for now.
