I'm trying to find out which companies make the 2 into 1 w/falsie, which is the better one and the best place(price) to get them. I have the Screamin Eagle II mufflers now and would like to keep the sound close to the same. I can still hear the radio when cruising steady speeds. I've read that the D & D Fatcat is a good one and that Thunderheaders also makes one. I haven't been able to find any others. I'd like to get a set for the performance, but I'm still partial to the look of two mufflers.
i have seen hookers that were adjustable allowing you to close off the left muffler completely to make a 2 into 1. the other side is then also tunable for sound and power.
Woody - Eastside Performance in Mesa, Ariz. does a V & H 2-1 with his "falsie" set up. In my opinion a real clean set up; but not cheap. I think the falsie set up; pipe and V&N muffler is $600 including labor; key word here; I think.. You can find them on the web"Google". Or call TJ [ owner ] at 480-649-4440 and ask some details. Maybe cheaper if you install; keyword here; maybe.

Closing off the left muffler(assuming that is still using stock headpipes) does not make a 2-1 tuned exhaust.

I used to be the same way about Duals on a bagger until I put a supertrapp 2-1 on. Did you know you can't see the rear from the saddle but you sure can feel the nice smooth power. and with the suppertrapp it is fairly quit a highway speed ( the wind is louder than the pipe) probably quiter than your SEII's from the saddle plus if you add a falsie you just added about 25 pounds of weight with no benefit to your performance
D & D Fatcat and Thunderheader both make the false pipe for the left. I've seen them both and they both look good.
I presently have the D&D Fatcat on my 03 FLHT. I love it, it's a great pipe. I can always add the false right pipe later.
My point, if you do not want to spend the money for the entire package now, you don't have too. Can propbably do the same thing with the Thunderheader.
Put a 2 into 1 pipe on you bike now. You will not regret it.
