I went 3 turns with those SE Quick Install Tapered, PN18404-08 pushrods on the 2009 96" TC when I did my cam install.
All good now, but I wouldn't use those PR's again. Three of the four loosened up on me in 30 miles and had to redo-- used red locktite the 2nd time so far so good.
I did install them in accordance with the instructions for tightening the locknuts btw.
Three turns is good n quiet.
No issues on mine in 3 years. Not questioning your skills. I also found that the Smith Brothers push rods, that many speak of with reverence on most forums, will instruct the installer to use red loctite when installing their fast install push rods. The SE pr are a quality piece and you can use them with confidence.
