I get the kit yesterday and do the install today. I'm taking my time and actually following the instructions. Problem is that I get nothing. Nothing on the HK screen, even the phone isn't charging so I'm not getting power. Radio works fine, just no recognizing the ipod. Went back and checked connections and I know I'm tapped into both ground and power. Any Ideas. Would really appreciate any help with this. Very frustrating

The picture shouldn't be with post. Doesnt show a thing and I meant to delete it. Sorry, still learning
sounds like you have some pins that aren't seated fully. sorry i can't help more than that, but i have the hd ipod controller and while similar, it is a little different.
The power and ground are supplied via the t-taps at the 19 (ground) and 20 (power) wires in the 23 wire connector. I'd check those. Also, it's easy to misidentify the wires, although the instructions are pretty clear.
You might try the cigarette lighter connections for power and ground; not, perhaps as a permanent solution, but to simply check the harness supplied.

PS: You won't be the first guy here who though the instructions were followed correctly only to discover they weren't--I'm a charter member of that club.
In any event, call Tony at ICA if you still have problems.

I have looked at it several times, believe me, I've made plenty of mistakes in the past. Even bought a 12 volt tester to make sure the connections were good. I guess I will have to wait til Monday to call them directly. Thanks for the help
think you are having the same problem i had take your 23 pin conector and pull off the red face and make sure the pins you pushed in are all the way in. don't worry about pulling the face off it is easy to put back on but i allows you to make sure the pins are all the way in
I have also seen where you have to make sure your radio has the latest updates. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not. Going to follow this thread cause I was planing on ordering this kit too

Thats a good point and I tried to research that but came up blank. I've heard about that but can't seem to find out how to do it. On the web site for Iron Cross, it states that all radios from 06 up, this kit works for. I will update once I speak to them on Monday. Hope to get it resolved cause I have a 3 day road trip planned for Tues - Thurs.

Glad it worked for you. BUT, the mfr. says to NEVER remove the red face (a/k/a "wedgelock"):
Just click on the "Instruction Sheets" in the above link.

PS: It's pretty easy to break one of the small tabs that secure the wedgelock in the "open" position, but prevent it from being removed. I broke one of those tabs and ruined the connector.
