Default Andrew cams for 06 EGC

I have a 2006 EGC that I'm contemplating puttinggear driven cams (Andrew) in at the end of 2007 (closer to when the warranty expires). I don't having any plansfor abig bore kit nor do I plan on having the headspolished or ported, just want to eliminate the reliability issue with HD'stiming chains (i.e. cam shoes). I'm currently looking at the Andrew 26G and 37G cams. I understand that I will pick up some torque with the cams but not much HP... which is okay since I'm not in a hurry anyway. Any constructive thoughts would be appreciated.

If you're not going with the big bore, 26g's will be the way to go....and if you eventually go big bore, the 26g's will still be a good choice as they are bolt in's for both 88 and 95. That is the cam I am going with and I will be doing a big bore.

The 26's are a great choice for down low torque, but they start wheezing at about 4,000 rpm's. The 37's on the other hand, dont really start pulling until about 2500-2800 but will pull hard up to the stock redline. Its all about what you want. Either would bea popular choice.

The 26G is a great choice for a bolt in cam. Most of us would really love to get rid of that chain cam drive system and that's the main reason I'm going for the 26G in a week or so (on my garage floor). I plan on taking a few pictures of the install - a definite "do-it-yourself" project.

I have 26G's in my 88" bike. It pulls like a freight train, even riding two-up and loaded with 60-80 lbs of luggage. Top gear roll on's at highway speeds are strong.
