Default 79d motor mount vibration question

I got another question bout the e glide. I have a 2003 FLHTI. I noticed last fall that my original front mount had ripped. I went to the localharley stealer and got a replacement (79d) mount. Not long after (maybe right after) I notice more vibrations in the floor boards. I did a drivetrain alignment per the service manual, checked for anything in between the frame and engine, checked exhaust mounts, checked primary chain play, torque checked every freakin bolt, I mean I checked EVERYTING people have mentioned on forums about vibration problems. I know the 79d mount has problems with vibes but don't know exactly what to expect. I basically want to know how you guys with this mount feel when ridin? I am getting vibes only in the floorboards and the left side is worse. Vibes follow engine speed and if I pull in the clutch and coast at speed vibes get less. If I pull in clutch and turn engine of she is smooth as slik. If I am stopped and have my left foot on floorboard vibe are light when I rev the engine. While riding if the engine is bogged down (going up hill or cracking throttle) vibes get worse. The bad spot is about 3000 rpm. Is this all due to the harder mount? I have not checked crankshaft end play (plan on it when inside for cam chain tensioners next time) but I don't think with these symptoms it sounds like internal engine prob, do you? Thanks for the help! I freaking love this forum.

The new mount is harder than your old mount and should loosen over time. Make sure the bolt through the mount is centered in the hole, that can give extra vibes if the bolt is touching. Otherwise just ride it and it should get better when it breaks in some.
