Well, that's not directed at me, but I'll give you one answer anyway.....it's the world we live in. Doesn't matter much where you are or where you go, there is always the off chance that someone there won't be feeling so "charitable". Wearing a gun isn't "intent", it's "insurance".
+100 It's like a credit card don't leave home without it!
Glad you and the Wifey are good. Thread is not really about anything else. Can easily happen to any of us. Even the self-proclaimed super riders. On a side note - guess I'll leave my guardds on.
Glad to hear you and your better half are ok. Curious as to what you did with the bolt, did you toss it into never never land, or did you keep it as a reminder and souvenir?
Wow glad you're both basically OK. These things happen and are over and done with in an instant, so the gear you're wearing or not wearing is what makes the difference between getting up with little or no injury to perhaps much worse. And YES those bag guards and crash bars have a purpose and work well in minor drops or spills.
Wallet, Keys, Gun, Knife, Flashlight never leave home without em.
The Bolt got tossed into the woods.
The gun didn't get scratched had an inside the pants holster with a metal clip. Clip got scuffed up good but saved my hip and the gun.
Still friggin soar where I landed on the gun. Ankles healing up just sore and stiff at the end of the day.
Oddest thing was watching my bike drive another 20-30 feet without a rider and just stop. It sat on the right side just as if you went to park it and forgot the Jiffy stand.
I will be back on the bike this weekend.
