Default 6.5 or 8.5 Klock Werks Windshield?

I am looking to buy a new Klock Werks windshield for my 2011 Street Glide. I am 5'10" tall and would like to get some feed back on what size to buy. If you are 5'10" and are have either the 6.5 or the 8.5 Klock Werks windshield please let me know what you think.

I'm 5'10" and have a 6.5 KW. I want to switch to an 8.5 to get a wee bit more out of the wind. During the winter I switch to a large clear windshield, but you lose the handling of the KW design.

Recommend 8.5"...allows for w/s bag + added airflow around rider. Switched my 6.5" ws for 8.5" & am really pleased...

You definitely want to measure it specifically for you. A lot depends on your riding position , height etc. We also have some new options that you might like. Windshield design plays a part too. Either way, make sure you take into account your specific height and how you like to sit on the bike!

I'm 5'-8" and see well over the 6.5 (stock seat), so I'd think you'd be fine with the 8.5. I tried a 10" shield (not KW) and the top was right in my line-of-sight, hated it. I was surprised to find that it didn't really provide any more protection than the 6.5 KW either.

Default 8.5" klick werks windshield

I am 5'11", and recently installed the 8.5" on my ultra, and I am very happy with it. Does a much better job of pushing the air away then the short windshield from HD that was installed on the bike when I purchased it.
