Default FM pipes turning gold
I went with the Fuel Moto setup for my pipes to include the headers.

I notices that the right pipe is turning gold.

Is anyone else have this problem?

I'm going to buy some blue job to get ride of the gold (hopefully).

I have had mine for about 2 years now and they still have the same color as when new. Sounds like your bike is running too lean and the pipes are getting hotter than they should.

Yes my right side pipe is turning yellow right where it slips on to the head pipe. Not sure if FM will help with this or I just have to live with it??

Op0jre, that is my exact problem too.

I loaded the map they gave me on the vision, so I'm surprised to hear I might be running lean.

I agree with Teardrop. (and he doesn't have gas or air where he lives)
I have had many FM products and could not make any of them turn color. And I have with other brands.

What octane gas are you running? If I recall, you actually may have extra high octane rating even after the rating conversion.

I live in Colorado and I'm running 91 octane. Either way I'm calling FM...for the price I paid they shouldn't be turning color with there complete setup.

Are you talking about the stainless steel version?The reason I ask is because Werner sells a stainless steel 2-1-2 head pipe and it turns a gold color after a little while.
