I dont know where any pics can be found, but if you are familiar with what baffles typically look like then I may be able to describe them to you sufficiently to you that you would recognize the divverences between them.
I traded into a Fatcat and a ghost pipe and got some boot. I swapped the pipes out and am not happy with how quiet it is. So I pulled the baffle out and unwrapped it and re-installed it. Apparently it had a quiet baffle in it. The ghost pipe has (what looks like) a dummy baffle in it.
I'm trying to figure out what to do to make this thing sound right
I've also noticed that the bike seems to have more vibration now than it did with my true duals.
I've always thought I wanted a Fatcat, but now I'm wondering if I made the right decision
The quiet baffle and the standard baffle are identical in construction, the only difference is the quiet is wrapped with glass packing. I am not familiar with the baffle in the gost pipe, but i would think that side would be just blocked off either by pipe design or baffle design as the right side will carry all the exhaust gasses. the pipes do mount very close to the tranny cover and floorboard bracket, if it is touching any of those you will feel more vibes from the motor into whatever the pipe touches.
CCT – Newest quieter design, the Concentric baffle drops 10db at full throttle and moves the peak torque down about
1000 rpms, thus making it more usable and enjoyable. It is designed for stock displacement (unmodified engine)
motorcycles. Q Option – Baffle is wrapped with sound control material. Still has plenty of bark, but with less edge than the unwrapped
Louvered or Big Bore baffles. This design allows earliest available torque with no loss of horsepower at the top end on
stock and moderately modified engines. Louvered - Original baffle design, louvered and unwrapped to provide higher flow. Louder exhaust note and good
balance of torque and horsepower. Big Bore - High flow perforated, big bore design. Loudest exhaust note and most flow. Designed for the rider with
extensive performance modifications who wants maximum high rpm output.
- I did a google image search for "d&d fatcat baffle"....tons of pics
Can you provide a little more info on your setup (bike, engine, breather, cams)? I assume you have the header too, not a slip on.
I have a 103 with the D&D FatCat Q baffle. It was moderately loud upon install with just the pipe and the breather. It burned in and got louder. After my cam install, it's damn loud and can be ear piercing when I nail it. It has a very low rumble at idle but screams above 3k...not exactly "quiet"
I bought the bike used from a wholesaler. I'm not sure what all has been done to it, but it has manual compression releases, high duration cams, stage 1 intake, sprocket and transmission gear change, and SE Racing clutch. This is all I know for sure. I plan to tear it down next winter and find out what it is.
I do know that it runs all over Stage II 103 street glides on a regular basis and has out run every stage I 110" Ultra that it's ever met at a light

Maybe you should just remove the mufflers then and run straight headers since it's so badass. That should be loud enough.
I'd be curious to hear what your actual setup is if the above statement has any truth to it. My guess is that the Stage II 103's and Stage I 110's you claim to run all over may not be actually racing you. If it's your gearing, how's it run against those other bikes above 60mph? If I wanted tons of torque at a stoplight, I'd drive a tractor.
At some lights, I could be outrun by a Rebel 250 because I'm not inclined to race every toughguy that wants to see what I've got. Personally, I'm more entertained by letting a guy beat me off the line, cruising up next to him, and then scaring the hell out him with WOT acceleration when he's not expecting it.
It's an 07 Ultra
I wasn't bragging, just giving you ALL the info I have on the bike.
Yes all of the statements I made are true and all the other folks "knew we were racing" because they're all friends of mine that I ride with on a regular basis.
It is a mystery bike and nobody knows what's been done to it performance wise. That will all change next winter when I tear it down. What else I know is that I've broken 2nd and 3rd gear in it and had the tranny rebuilt last year and two weeks ago I shifted to second gear (hard of course) and broke the second drive belt so far
