I was looking at a Victory Cross Country, and I must say, I'm impressed. Thinking about trading my '12 Road King for one. The only thing I didn't much care for is the short windshield, got a bit of buffeting from it. Other than that, I can't find anything wrong with it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Road King. After doing a stage one ( $$$ ) it almost has the power of a stock Victory. Help me out here, I know this is not the best place to ask this, but, give me some REAL good reasons not to do it.
you want to give up a new Road King for an ***-ugly victory? I will never understoand those that think trading a brand new anything is a good idea.
I can only tell you of my experience.
I jumped ship when the 2012 high ball came out. Just after I bought the vic I sold my 2010 wide glide. Within a thousand miles it developed a loud rattle that I read about on another forum. The rattle was the compensator. Took it back to dealer three time trying to get them to fix it. No dice. I finally found another dealer that would fix it, and at the same time I traded it off for a 2007 wide glide for a huge loss.
In the six months that I owned the high ball I put less than 2000 mile on it because I was scared that it would fall apart on me. I'm not going to stray again.
This may seem long and confusing in a readers digest version.

Oh God! Asking a question like that on this forum is akin to asking the head waiter at a 5 star restaurant if the steak is tough. This is a tough crowd dude.
I considered a Victory Vision Tour before I purchased my Limited. I kinda liked the styling and I liked the way it rode. What I didn't like was all of the plastic. I felt like I was sitting on top of a giant lego.
my brother won a 2009 victory in a fire station raffle. he has a soft tail and the victory. he likes the victory for all the technology advances. but rides the harley due to social acceptance .
