To me it's the support you get from dealers and indies that keeps me from going to another brand, if i am on a trip i am pretty sure i can find somebody that can help me out somewhere...if you ride a Victory , a Triumph, BMW, Ducati or and of the 4 metrics....usually Sunday and Monday you are phoqued...
Plus i have wanted a HD since i was a KId...now i have my 2nd one.
Thanks for all the reply's, even the flames. Since my original post I have done tons of searching and came to the conclusion that most all manif. are about the same. The term "it's normal" came up quite a bit. I've only had this bike a year ( thanks mom. R.I.P. ) and it Looks like I'm keeping my Harley till I can't ride anymore. Don't remember who said it, but, you're right, I will be looking every time I hear that Rumble, thanks for the "Boot To The Head", I needed that. LOL. Reminded me why I got a Harley in the first place, I always wanted one. For the ones that got "offended", ...... never mind, you ain't worth it.
I had similar thoughts and did the research too. I was very impressed with the technology advantage that Victory has but in reading their forums, I realized that their implementation is short of where it needs to be for me to jump ship. I am not one of the "Harley's are the best thing in the world" drinking the Kool-Aid camp and I am always looking at options but with Harley, I can do all the work myself and the major problems they have show tell tell signs that you can avoid if you do your maintenance properly. Things happen with all of them but I just don't think Victory is where they need to be for me to go there yet. They may be at some point but not right now.

Ride what you want, when you want and don't worry about what everyone else thinks. Personally, I couldn't imagine trading in a 2012 bike simply because of the bath I would take financially, but maybe money isn't an issue for you. Seems like you made the right decision anyway.
