he is from Georgia where there are an abundance of fire ants. Fire ants have been known to short out service panels in houses. The are atracted to electrical wiring for some reason. It is possible they are the issue and then again, maybe not.

 

I've been a mechanic for almost 30 yrs and can say I have seen ants cause ALOT of electrical issues.. they can even get into your home a/c unit and cause problems there too !!!

 

Ok you knew someone would say it so it may as well be me.
Were they HD ants?

 

Fire that sucker up and listen to them SCREAM!

 

Even if they are causing the short im going to make sure they're all gone before I go to the dealer
