Love the king kong quote! Would live to fight it but not gonna take a day off my $300 a day job just to try and scratch a $110 ticket 4 hours away. Screw it. Taking my lumps and hope for better next time. Not happy about this particular LEO but on the whole i respect what they have to do. I couldnt do it without shooting people on a regular basis. Hats off to LEOs and maybe check out the soccer mom in the suv texting rather than chasing down the "bad to the bone biker" riding to town with his dad to get ice cream.

Default Cops and Apes

+1 on MontyCop05. I too am a local law enforcement officer and there are always those that give the rest of us a bad rap because of their actions. I too am for the most part interested only in what you're riding because I ride too. Now, absolutely if you're showing your @ss, then yes, I am going to get in your @ss, but even then only as much as necessary to solve the problem. And I understand OP that you weren't engaging in this behavior. We have numerous traffic laws here in LA, but if we went after every violation, we would never be available to respond to calls for service. I can't stand poor use of the discretion that we're given. Anyway, FWIW, ride safe and I hope you don't encounter this situation again.
