Really?
I dont want you to ever look bad, so next time try using your thumb and hitting both buttons at the same time in the same direction. As you'll notice the start and run buttons both go in the same direction. Unless you start your engine with your index finger. Its a habit thats easy to learn.

If you use the kill switch instead of the ignition shut off with synthetic oil in your bike, it will void your warranty.
If you have decatted your pipe, and don't use the kill switch you will get a 25% increase in torque, except if you are running a Phase 7 light instead of the HD Led, then again, your warranty is voided.
Even worse, if you are going to use the kill switch, don't fill your oil more than 3.65 qts or it will come out your air filter onto your pants, again, voiding your warranty.
I could go on and on.

I use the "kill" switch to turn off the engine and the ignition switch to turn off the stereo.

I'm I the only one with a manual that says to always shut off the engine with the kill switch?

Until recently the kill switch was the proper way. The previous key switch had the entire electrical load going through them and the kill switch was a way to make the ignition switch last longer.

Now the ignition key switch only activates a relay that provides full power to the starter.

So ether way is okay. The info about any magical improvements in performance is beyond bogus.

I agree. Performance improvements from not using the kill switch seems counter-intuitive to my common sense.
