Default School me on RK handlebars/adjustment?

So as I've stated before, the previous owner of my bike dropped it at some point. No big deal, except for this one detail.

I noticed as I was riding that my left arm always felt "tweaked" and it would tire quickly. Got to looking closely, and my bars are out of alignment. I've found the procedure for opening the nacelle, but what am a looking at once I'm in there?

Advice?

Thanks.

mine were too...i had a buddy hold one side and i pulled on the other...it seemed to have worked fine...you can adjust the height by loosen'n one bolt on each standoff and rotating it up or down...if its just tweeked, tweek it the other way

Cool, I'll give that a whirl, but I'm thinking that it's going to be more involved than that.

Looking down from above the bars, you can see that they touch the edge of the cover on one side and they run straight through the middle on the other. Once I noticed it, it turned out to be a pretty severe "tweak". []

You might have to rephrase that as "BENT"

I don't think so? Looking from one side to the other, they appear to lin up with themselves. It just looks like they're crooked in the clamps?

Remove headlight from Nacelle, then look up and you will see the bolt that hold the chrome cover over the handlebar clamps, remove it to get the cover off. Once the cover is off you'll be looking at the handlebar clamp, loosen the back to allen head bolts to move the handebar forward or backwards.

In this case, you'll also brobable have to wrestle with the bolts on the bottom of each riser, loosen them, align the risers and then retighten them. From there, one the risers are aligne, you can retighten to the 2 small allen bolts after you have adjusted the final position of the bars.

You might ride the bike for a while before you find what position you like the best.It is a personal thing, maybe leave the cover off for a while until you find the desired position

First remove the chrome ring from the head light. Them remove the 6 or 8 screws holding the head light in pull it out and un plug connector. then inside top of nacelle you will see on nut holding the the chrome trim piece in place, remove the one closest to you, then further back you can barely see another one loosen it enough so you can slide the trim aft and out of the slotted groove. Now pop the cover off of the fork lock and remove the screws under it to remove the handle bar cover now you can get to the allen bolts that hold the handle bars on. Alot of work just to get to this point. remember to cover the front fender and gas tank so you don,t scratch anything.
Good luck.
