Now that it is off, you need to go on the Internet and order a Rivco Harley Filter wrench. The dealers use it, but don't/won't sell it. I think it is called the "Wench"... Seriously, you won't have this problem again.

It's easier to break the filter loose when its hot, obviously you cant run the bike now to get it a little hot but for future reference try that, also the oil will be hot and flow better when you take the drain plug out.
Good luck getting that thing off, theres a few tools you can get to work on filters that are stubborn. The rubber strap wrench is nothing but a pain in the @$$. Get one drip of oil on the filter and that strap slips everywhere, nothing but a pain.
these are some of the styles of oil filter wrenches that I've had success with, not the right sizes but just to give you an idea

Right on. Once you take it out could you maybe post if you notice any more top end noise. When I used mobil 1 in my bike, both the v-twin and 15w-50 the top end noise was so loud it was like a can of marbles were bouncing around in there.
I have tried mobil 1 in every engine I've ever had and in every one as soon as it went in the valvetrain got noticeably louder.
I know every sound that comes from every motor I've had and every time mobil 1 equated to more noise.
Just my experience.
Also, make sure you put a bead of oil on the rubber gasket...that's probably why you couldn't get the original off. Some HD assembly line monkey decided "I'm gonna F w/people today and spun the filters on w/o oiling the gasket. This pretty much "welds" it to the block.
