They said they will have it for a day and send it back. Not really sure what they are going to do. Dealer said HD knows they have a problem and still trying to find the fix for it. The dealer said they may hook up a tuner to it to solve the issue. I hope this solves this once and for all.
Did you get your pinging issues sorted out? I have the same problem.

I suspect that the ve tables and/or your timing tables are not right. You should be able to run all the area's you have at 13.7 at 14.2 if the rest of the calibration is correct. If your ve tables are not calibrated what you set on the afr table is a shot in the dark. I think that is actually a lambda cal.

Hi,
here's what my dealer did to settle my pinging problem: Reflashing the ECM.

Report said:
Before calibration Part number: 34245-11
Calibration ID: 33217-11B
After reflash

Part number: 34245-11
Calibration ID: 41000205
Description of new calibration: Stock Canada reduced Knock
O.E. Calibration to reduce Knock in high altitude and high heat environnements. Use with ECM's 34245-11 or greater 34246-08 or greater.

NOT for modules that have been Race Tuned or have SE Performance Parts.

Hope that will help some

If they replaced the ECM and the problem went away, I would think that the problem was caused by the ECM either retarding or advancing the timing when it should not have. Sometimes you can throw additional fuel at the pinging but I don't believe that to be the best solution in most cases. Ignition timing is the best approach I would think. I am glad they fixed it for you.

I have 2012 Ultra Classic that has pinged since Day one. I have 10K on it now. Recently added Freedom true duels and a power commander V. Have tweaked the timing like some have suggested. If you retard the timing, is there any need to add fuel?

My 12 RK had the pinging issue and the dealer either sent ECM to the MoCo or had a download sent to them. It fixed the problem so I didn't worry about it. My 13 RG ultra had pinging issue and the service mgr hooked the ECM to a laptop and retarded the timing. This changed the pinging to a higher rpm and only under load. It only pings now riding 2 up and hard acceleration around 4500 rpms.

Neither bike had shown a code for pinging on the diagnostics and Both bikes were stock at the time. I believe that the MoCo is not concerned because it is not an issue for them after bike has intake and exhaust changed.

I just installed rinehart true duals and have road it a little and have not noticed the pinging but it has not been a long enough ride for heat issues. I'm planning on changing the intake and doing a stage 1 download before summer.

Will this help the pinging and change the timing?

My 2012 Road King pings likes crazy (hot & under load) with lower octane. I've resolved to using higher octane and the issue is now rare. No difference after I added 4" Rinehart slip-ons.

you think maybe that's why they say that you're supposed to use premium instead of low octane fuel?
