Go CVO, put a different cam in it, and go!

Don't want to get dissed by the CVO owners but I ride with some CVO ultras and the 110 stock is not much different than any stock harley. They just don't have much punch. My 96" with a 204 is easily able to hang with the 110" in acceleration from a dead stop or passing trucks on the highway. I would believe the 107" would run away from a 110". I haven't read anything on here on what to do to up the performance of a 110".

I think i'am going to do the engine upgrade. I like my bike. have done a lot upgrades just want more power when loaded down touring. The cvo has a lot of cool stuff but it sounds like i will have to upgrade the engine on it and will have a tuff time doing upgrades on the cvo after spending the big bucks to get it. Besides the old woman is not crazy about spending the bucks for the cvo so i might be sleeping in the garage with it. I want to thank everybody for all the good information they took time to give me.

While doing performance upgrades, there have been many mentions of bearing upgrades in the engine. I don't know all the details but there have been many post on things such as the inner primary bearing being replaced with a torrington bearing. As usual, I could be full of sh**, but it is worth a little research.

Simplest way around that is to contact a good tuning shop and talk through with them what is possible, then take advice on what to put right while they are in there. Save's trying to become an expert!
