Interesting- my FLTRU does not have a light on the switch only on the dash. My 03 Road King had the lighted switch.
Are you sure one of the bugs from your sig did not fall in there?
The light is not part of the switch, but is a real PITA to replace - at least on my Road King it was.
The switch is 71637-98 & lists for $84.30, I'd just leave it the way it is since you know the switch is on by looking at it, plus the light in the tach also tells you it's on, I wouldn't spend the time & money on it.
Hmmm.. unless we are looking at something totally different here... and I am talking about the lighted rocker switch for the cruise control on/off for an Ultra, then Lake Shore has that switch for $20 and it's HD part number 71535-96.
DTT I think you are looking at a switch assembly part for a FLTRX.
Remove the ignition switch ****, remove the inner faring cap, then swapout the switch. Now your switch light works again. PS...turn it off if you don't need it on.
71513-98 is the number for cruise controls switch and list price is $57. the 71535-96 is just an acc switch. You can change out the light bulb on the switch if you are mechanically and electrically inclined and save you some bucks. i just changed out one of the switch bulbs for less than $3
