Default Road King parts compatability

Just picked up a 95 Road King, new evo motor ect ect. But I wanted to start spicing it up! What year of seats are compatible? Along with rims and other various body parts? Want to update some things including the handlebar and remove the factory lic plate and backseat to clean up the tail, then bar switches and more all help is appreciated

There is section for evo riders.
most of the guys here have late models and may not be up on the evo.

for seats probably from about 1985 to 1998 models, each other part depends.

rims maybe to 1999 ( rear axle changed)

so ask a question for each area.

Harley changes various parts slowly- not everything all at once...like evolution

start by looking at pics and determining which "looks" you like- cut them out put them on a board- take your time...go to bike events and see what others have done.

this will end up saving you money and probably a more satisfying result.

I have a 1995 Roadking. I have fitted a couple of later seats over the last couple of years, you will have to adapt the metal tongue on the later seats by cutting it off at the first "bend or angle" then it will fit under the tank bracket. The bars are a simple change as they are the standard 1"

Hey Fatboy congrats on new bike. I have a 99 RK and everything I have put on my bike came mostly from HD book I have the comfort stitch seat. with the adjustable back rest. Well worth it in my view. The book will tell you what years the seats fit. You can take the bike to the dealer and they will let you try them out on your bike before you buy one.Have fun

Your question is too wide ranging, as Mike explained! Take your time to get used to your bike and form clear ideas of what you would like to do, then we can give better help. Call in the Evo section, where you will find we can do wonders with these older bikes, things you may not have thought of!
