Hope this isn't a stupid question. I'm trying to get my street glide ready for a long trip and upon inspection found a wet spot near this connector. For reference, it is on the left side of the bike below what I think is the crank position sensor. What is this sensor and why might it be leaking? Just trying to figure out if this is something I can fix easily or not?
Check this forum link or do a search for stator leak. Very common problem. I fixed mine by cleaning the area and making sure it was dry, then I applied a good sealant around the plug. Many remedies listed if you do a search.
