the power in 5th seems just fine, but it's noisy, has a whine, and feels *rough* and vibrates (?), 1st thru 4th is whisper smooth, and so is 6th... 5th isn't happy
cc install was easy and sort of fun.
my notes not mention so far are:
-got frustrated putting ignition back on,,took deep breath and read removel backwards.
-tried forcing wires from switch into connector at first, then realized connector snapped appart and wires laid in connector easaly.
-left too much slack in cable after loosening so as to get fereles and cable back on throttle whitch caused cc not to initialize.
gear noise-only noticed anythingafter reading posts about 5th gear.
heat-noticeable but hopeing steps like breakin, synth oil, post 11/06 ecm download, and oil cooler will fix/help or will take other measures like pcIII..ect
haven't seen or heard anything around the web about noise in tranny in 5th, but will keep ear open.
Hopefully somebody may respond.
Most I am seeing are complaining of being gutless in 5th (me two), so far consensus seems to be oil sumping. but we will see.
