Your blanket statement is no different than someone from Arizona saying that all of you Morons in Oregon and Washington stood by did nothing to prevent Obama from getting get elected (twice) because he won both of those states.
Not from AZ but the latter part of this statement seems reasonable to me, and they did it twice damit
you are correct. Think about it.. All of these laws usually seem to start in CA for some reason and then filter throughout the states. I see this being an issue for the buyers of motorcycles for a long time to come.
And we've got no one else to thank for this other than the idiots that sit at red lights cracking their throttles, the idiots that leave their homes at 5 in the morning cracking their throttles through the neighborhoods, etc.
Yep...the crazy bitch across the street and her boyfriend (rides the husbands bike) when the husband is out of town...yeah some crazy **** that just started going on...
At least she packed all her stuff and moved out over the last couple of days. I have no idea if the husband knows since he travels 250 days a year...ex military now a contractor.
She has to hammer the throttle all the way through the neighborhood every time she leaves...and the exhaust is not stock.
I was in Key West 30 years ago on my honeymoon. My wife and I had just come out of Cheeseburger in Paradise when 3 riders on Softails with straight pipes cruised by. The street was narrow, with multi-story buildings on both sides. A young couple was standing next to the curb; the husband was holding their approx. 3-year old daughter in his arms. The riders cruised by at low speed, cracking their throttles every few seconds.
The little girl clapped her hands over her ears and screamed.
Straight pipes were as obnoxiously loud 30 years ago as they are now. You can buy fine exhaust systems or basic slip-ons that improve both performance and sound without vibrating a bystander's diaphragm as you ride by. Or make a little girl scream. I've been riding since 1970--Japanese, British, and American bikes (I'm building a café Sportster now)--and my opinion is the same today as it was then.
Yep, this is what you want. Get the "Deep Growl" version.
The other way to look at it is that if they get you speeding, its one thing they can hit you with *instead* of a speeding ticket if the guy wants to cut you some slack.
Seat belt law around here did me that favor a couple times.
you loud pipe guys are going to bring more rules and regulation to everyone. No, you do not have some god given right to to make excessive noise at all hours of the day and night. Common sense would say it is o.k. To rap it up when you will not be disturbing john q. Public-out on the open road-not in congested and/or residential areas. Those people have every right to expect quiet and peaceful conditions.
