Default 2011 Problems

2011 Ultra 50,00 miles. While down shifting from 3rd to 2nd bike died rolled into a parking lot. Battery is original. Bike has power but the starter will not do anything. Bought new battery from auto parts and replaced it. Started bike up and it ran for a few minutes and died again. Finished replacing seat bike fired up and drove bike home 20 minutes no problems. Parked in drive and turned bike off and tried to start and battery dead again, Power but no starter movement at all. Waited 10 minutes and bike started like no problem at all. Anyone have a suggestion?

Jerry

Since you changed the battery, I assume both connectors are clean & tight?

No experience with your problem though, so I'll sit back and listen......

Check all the connectors you can get to for connectivity and water/moisture issues. Coat the connectors with dielectric grease.

Grounding and Voltage regulator... Places I would look.

I would check the grounds. Sounds like bad/loose ground.

take a feed off battery to starter to see if it turns over that way to isolate problem
