Default 14" Apes ... How long of extended cables do I need?

Looking to put some 14" WO Apes on my son's 06 Road King and am wondering how long of extended control cables I need to purchase. I called one shop and was told I needed +8 over stock. I'm hoping to get a some input here. I hate to go with only one opinion.

I used the burly bagger bars on my 2010 SG, those are 13" and i used a +6 on the clutch and it was just right. As far as the clutch the +8 should be just right for 14"

i used +6 on my SG, if you order everything from hdbikeparts.com they send you what you need for everything. that way its all in one box and no issues. i was very pleased with them.

I went +8 when I put on my 14's. I went a little over in case I wanted to go higher.

+8 on clutch was perfect. It let me route the clutch cable in the stock position.

+8 on the brake for some reason was a bit too much. Below you can see I could have gone +6 easily:

Trip 20 did you try to hide excess brake line in the fairing?

I went with 8 on the clutch and 6 on the brake. The good thing about the RK nachelle is you cant curl excess cables and tuck em away and not even see them. That way, if you ever want to go higher there's slack in the nachelle for what you need...
