255 cams wouldn't be my choice either but realistically they are good cams.. you'll be happy with the bottom end they provide if you're not a power freak....

Ok, dumb question....but why???? Obviously better flow but this is the first time I have heard anyone doing this...and I've read and watch quite a few videos!

you know that seepage you get in your air-filters... well what this does is allows that oil to drain a little quicker out of the top end therefore less chance it will wind up in your breather. Certainly not something I'd pull my top end apart for but since you have it open, get-r-dun..

And I corrected the above post. I used an 1/8" bit to drill the holes and a 1/4" to round out the holes

+1 on this, if you are already getting in there just do it.

Your taking a chance using the stock push rods. There will be no way to adjust any ticking or rattling sounds out in the event they occur. My advice, buy the SE Tapered Adjustables Pushrods and adjust them to 3 full turns. Plus with adjustable's, when you get tired of the SE255's, you can install any other cam and just readjust the pushrods.

I installed the SE255's and had nothing but trouble between engine noise and performance issues on my 96ci.

Installed the TW-222's and with my ECM adjusted, bikes runs great with probably less noise then when stock. I wish my MPG were a little better but I guess 40's not that bad.....
