all opinions are welcome but please state your riding style. currently i have a 12 SG with V&H big radius pipes big city thunder 2" baffles torque cones and a PM high flow a/c running a power vision tuner.
mainly looking for a big lumpy thunder thumping cam like the S&S 585 cam or the TW-888 cam but not really wanting to pull the heads off these cams will work but there on the high end for the springs and 9.6:1 compression.
my worry is that ive heard and read that these cams are for high rpms and being a heavy touring bike something more flat and comes on quicker would be best. my problem is that i have 2 sepatate riding styles, one with the wife on the back and then theres my hot rod time by myself what direction should i go?
I ride mine like I stole it most of the time, and I love my flat curve low end torque cams. I've run the 'hot rod' cams in a bagger and it was a mistake I won't make again.
Both of those cams you listed are for a modified engine with higher compression and ported heads. You will be disappointed if you pick those. I have never heard them, but people on the forum say the screamin eagle 204 cam is the most lumpy hot rod sounding cam around and it works well in a stock 103 engine. There are cams that make a little more power then the 204 if you look at the woods 222, Andrews 57h and Tman torqster. But I don't think they sound as good.

Put the money toward a cheap sportster for hot rodding fun and games. Jekyll and Hyde each need their own bike!
I was in the same boat so I looked for something in between, I chose the SE204 cams, was trying to decide between them or the S&S 510, I also had the S&S 97 inch bb kit put in, if you want to do both put mid cams in and a big bore kit, I love mine now and am going to put S&S heads on this winter.
Get a 600-1000 sport bike to go along with the bagger.
Not gonna make a hot rod without real engine work and throwing big cams in your stocker will just lose what bottom end ya have left with those pipes and not have any top either because of the low compression and head flow (plus the "torque cones"). Not gonna get the old lope in a FI TC anyway. I ride to the limiter often and my little 54 cams are still building power when it hits. They are a little more than 204s and ya still can't really hear a lope? But yeah throw them 7000 rpm cams in there, I'm sure they'll sound real kool and make folks know how kool ya are.
Sorry sometimes I don't get it...

Good luck!
i agree with Dude. Don't make the mistake of over camming your engine...
I just got rid of my 2012 streetglide for a new one
I had an Andrews 54H cams with moto header and 4" mufflers with race tuner and ventilator a/c
The cam was super and lots of mid range
I almost took them out to put in the new bike
Andrews recomnended them and they were right on
Too big a cam with too much overlap with low compression will kill the bike
54H works great with under 10:1 compression
Just my 2 cents
I agree with most that the SE-204 will run well and sound the best and the TW-222 will run the best and sound good. I have some TW-222's going in my '12 today. I picked the TW-222 because that is what my engine shop recommended. Between the two you're really splitting hairs unless your bike is a drag racer or a dyno queen.
The Andrews 57 is also a similar cam with will give good results as a drop in cam.
I've previously had an S&S 510 in my '02 RKC that had a pretty good sound and was a good all around cam for a bagger. That was an 88" & 95" TC. Another consideration maybe the S&S 570 cam. The 570 is a good cam for a 103 especially if you would drop in a 0.030" head gasket and bump the compression just a touch.
