Have had my 2013 Limited for about 8 months now and put a little over 7,000 miles on her. Have just noticed lately that the seat seems to get hotter than in the past. Is there some issue that could be causing this or is my *** just becoming more sensitive as I get older?
Just more sensitive as you get older! I'm 58, and my issue was comfort. Got one of those mesh seat covers from a Harley dealer. It's meant for airflow under your butt (which might be what you're looking for) but I got it for a little more padding for my boney butt! It'll lift you up in the seat a little bit higher, but I'm 5' 10" and can still look through the windshield. (I prefer looking THROUGH it rather than OVER it.)
I traded my 1999 FLHTC in on a 2013 FLHTC, the 13 does seem to run hotter, especially on the right side if you have stock exhaust.
If you go to a true dual exhaust that will stop some of the right side heat, also you can replace the pipe that houses the cat converter to reduce heat.
We just bought the 2013 CVO and on high setting, ours gets really hot too!
But more uncomfortable than a hot seat is that the passenger seat is extremely uncomfortable. They really changed them and I am not liking it at all!
