That's exactly how WB is supposed to work. Turn off WB if you don't want to be notified of weather events.
I must have missed something, I've looked everywhere on how to turn WB off and can't find out how. I wouldn't mind turning AM off, too. Is this even an option on the 4.3?

While in WB, look at the top banner bar - it's on the left (ON/OFF). Toggles when you push your right cursor to the left while in the banner.

On the 6.5, it's Home/Tuner/Weather Band
Then curser to the upper left to toggle on or off.

You guys had me feeling pretty stupid when I read that. I went in as directed and I DO NOT have an on/off toggle button. Top banner shows WB and MENU to the right which just takes me to the audio menu. I have the latest download installed. It is a 4.3 radio...
I have been trying to update the software, using HD upgrade with no success, it keeps telling me they I don't have an audio file. What am I missing? I read the instructions and followed them, but yet it won't work. I am stationed in Germany but the bike is US specs, 2014 SGS.
I have had the same identical issue as you. Reformatted the stick tried several ways with unpacking the files, not un-packing them no luck for the upgrade. And get the same message. I have updated once before and was un eventful. Have no idea what I am doing wrong this time....

I've been reading the infotainment issues in the several threads. I have the european version of the "brick". I got my UltraLimited 14days ago. I installed an additional arm for my zumo 660 after I readed these threads. And I love my garmin it does what I want, riding my homemade routes using my BT headset. The HD gps is good for point to point riding but if you want a specified route, it won't work.
Anyway. I have got a question regarding trafficinfo. I don't know if it's the same on the american models.
If I use the system wired with helmet (I've got a spare helmet ) and all is selected through the wired headset. I still get the trafficnotification on the speakers of the bike. Even if the sytem is turned off, it will give the trafficinfo through the speakers. I even did an RTFM, but I find nothing on how to get this info through the headset.
