Default 08 touring wheel swap

I have an 08 road king with the 16" wheels. I have an opportunity to get 2011 touring 17" front and the wider 16" rear. both bikes non abs. Will the rotors, pulley and new tire/rim sizes fit my bike without changing swing arm or fenders? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Rear wheel will not fit without major work. Front will fit just fine. Rotors too.

I also have an 08 Ultra with a new pair of shoes on her. One inch bigger wheels? Why? Looks? Just the front? Why? Is that like getting your wife one new silicone knocker...? Actually upon reflection... I usually sleep on my right side and hold on to the left one...might be ok....?

You have a long Minnesota winter ahead of you, That's plenty of time to easily do a 180mm conversion using all OEM parts/takeoffs. Its not that difficult, even if you farm it out it wouldn't be that costly. By the time I sold off my '07 wheels tires etc. I doubt I had more than a grand in the project, total. Still running flawlessly. Basically all that needs to be done is, widen your stock swingarm to accept the '09up rear axle to accommidate the wider wheels & tires and then modify a '09up rear fender or buy an aftermarket one to fit. Here's the link to the one and only thread I ever started on this site explaining how I did it.

the reason behind my question was I scrape my centerstand once in a while, even though I'd done progressive HD 12.5 or 13 uprated springs (hd) shocks. I wanted a taller tires(s) and got the 2 rims for $100. I later found the new rear was still 16, but a wider rim. I knew it was wider and I pull a utility trailer-so the bigger rubber was desired. the taller front to raise the front end, too. I probably won't do the swap, even though the front is a direct swap - the rim types won't match.....even though you really can't see the rear rim. this forum has been really helpful on the compensator and a few other things, really appreciate all the tech feedback and info on here. thanks!

good theory, but in application wouldn't have made a bit of difference. the overall diameter of the 16'', 17'', 18'' and 19'' wheel/tire combos is virtually identical. so it wouldn't have raised your front any. this is of course, using the stock size hd tires for those wheels. if you go non stock sizing, you might achieve a slight raise.
