Default Question about my Aux Toggle

On my 14 RK i have a toggle on left which controls my lower fog set. Then another toggle on the right which is dead, im assuming i can use it for anything...

Is this wired to function as the other toggle, where the power is killed when i shut the key?

Also where are the terminals for this switch, or do i need to run my own wires/fuses?

thanks

I forget exactly which wires they are, but behind the headlight you can access the switch wiring. I use it to control the power to my GPS when I have it mounted. The switch is only active when the ignition is on. If you have a shop manual, you can locate the proper wires.

for the past 20 years, the aux plug has been under the seat, in front of the battery.

maybe that changed for 14, but I doubt it.
the owners manual should be pretty good source of info on this.

I earlier today posted a pin out for the 09 model, could be the same for yours

Yeah, typically under the seat for rider accessories

The plug is under the seat and is switched with the ignition switch. Here is a link to a harness to use for connecting to this switch for your accessories. Hope this helps.

Look at your owner's manual page 63-64, the right side switch is connected to a accessory plug under the left side cover.
