If you run it over full, it will launch the dipstick out of the crankcase. Don't ask how I know...
LOL.......I did the Exact same thing on my Fat Boy...I though that I had been SHOT!!!
The Plug smacked me in my Leg ( With Shorts on) and there was HOT Oil all over my leg.
I thought that it was Hot Blood pumping out....I didn't want to Look Down!
Seriously......I thought that some NUT JOB....was doing an Easy Rider on me, but Missed! lol
Don't over fill your Oil!
Howdy! When I change the oil, I typically use four quarts (and I am running a H-D oil cooler). When I check the level on the dipstick with the bike level, it reads just a tad over the "full" mark.
Are there any issues with this? I believe it is just the oil tank and not the crankcase, right?
Thanks!

You reading the level mark or side stand mark. They all have two measurements. On side and upright.
