I'm glad that I removed mine! I do miss the heat on cold rides but the sound is so much better especially after adding a tuner as well.

For about $20 more you can get the Vieds which are adjustable to some degree. For a few hundred more, you can get a real tuner (PV, TTS, SEPRT) and get closer dialed in, AND have something that can grow with your mods if/when you do them.

You don't mention an A/C. Changing this out will add more performance bang for your buck.

Gutted mine two years when I bought my SG 2011, reduced heat, ok sound, but couldnt get it to run good.Added the Vieds, still the same.Pcv and better throttle response but not what I thought how it should run.Got rid of the PCV and just rode with vieds, then last month I installed Cobra Power Port headers to the exsisting setup.Wow what a difference, way better throttel response, smoother ride, very nice Harley rumble and better mileage..If I could id kick myself in the *** for not doing this in the beginning.Keep your OEM header and get an aftermarket one, you wont regret it.

So are you running stock mufflers with the Power Port Header?

Are you saying you removed the head shield, cut, removed the cat and welded it back...all while the head pipe was still on the bike?
