I've got several of the SSC windshields from Cee Baileys for my street glide. Sizes range from 11" to 15" in height. I have no problem with my shorter SSC's, but I'm have a problem with the 15" I just bought. It keeps creeping up on me, exposing the tops of the 3 mounting holes after about 30 or 40 miles. Is anyone else out there using a 15" SSC and experiencing the same problem? If so, did you come up with a fix? I love all of my SSC's and I really would like to make this 15" work. Per my request, Cee Baileys made it much thicker for me than my shorter SSC's. This eliminated the large amount of flexing that my 1st 15" SSC was experiencing, but it also gave me the new "creeping up" problem. Cee Baileys is sending me some foam tape (adhesive-backed) for me to attach to the screen which will hopefully help. I'm wondering if the extra thickness of this windshield is just not allowing enough "bite" in the fairing.

I currently have a 12" installed, and I know exactly what you are talking about, my right side slips up. I've ordered a 14", it's on the way. I stuck a few star washers in and they seem to be holding. What I'm going to do on the 14" is put anti-skid tape on the two sides that are down in the fairing. It's the stuff we put on the floors at work so people wont slip. Careful with the star washers if the are tightened too much the windshield will break, ask me how I know. I now have a chip, but it' in the fairing and can't be seen. Get a star washer that will give a little, mine were a bit too thick.
I finally came up with a fix for the "creeping up" problem I was experiencing with all of my tall (12" or higher) Cee Bailey's SSC windshields. I bought a 10' roll of Velcro Ultra-Mate and applied the rough (plastic?) side to all of my SSC's. I tried to place the Velcro on the windshield to match up perfectly with the rubber strip on the inside of the fairing. The fix works like a charm. I can now ride as long and as fast as I want and the windshield stays right where it is. No longer does it creep up, exposing the mounting holes. A simple and yet very effective fix. The velcro cost me about $15 at Home Depot, but it was enough to do 4 of my SSC's with at least 6' of Velcro still leftover. Below are some pics to illustrate what I did. Hopefully this will help someone else out there experiencing the same problem.

15" Cee Bailey's SSC with Velcro Ultra-Mate applied
close up of Velcro - note that I used the rough plasticside for better adhesion.
Velcro Ultra-Mate This product is approx 1" tall and is very thin - easily fits in the fairing.

This was the same problem I had/have with my 13" shield...I believe I mentioned it in the thread in which you first reviewed this product. I ended up doing basically the same thing they are asking you to do. I put some foam double sided 3M outdoor tape on, between the outer fairing and windshield. Now when I pull the outer fairing shell, the windshield conveniently sticks with the shell. Then I put a small bead of black silicone along the seam to make sure water would not leak past the tape.
I've had no more problems and still really like the windshield. I think it would be better if they'd just shrink the size of those holes down in the windshield. There is no reason they have to be that big.
UGG...why are you going with such a tall SSC? I know you've tried or own them all and I've read your reviews both on here and Cee Baileys site. If I remember you are about my height, 6', and 13"/10" was about perfect as it is for me. I like the look of that size as well as it compliments the bikes lines and flows well bike toward the rider, but 15" might start to push that concept. What are you going for with 15"?
Recently have purchased 3 of their standard shaped shields, (2 ) 7" opaque and dark tint and a light tint9"er. For my money, whether they be SSC's or standard style, no better windhshield made.

The 13" is perfect for me with the stock seat, but I opt for the 15" when I change seats and put on my Mustang touring seat. The Mustang has a lot more padding than the stocker and sits me up higher. The 15" SSC with the Mustang is perfect, as is the 13" with the stock seat. You have a good memory Glider!
For those that have an aftermarket fairing that doesn't have the rubber strip the use of the non-skid tape is working great on my windshield, I put it on just about like the pictures UGGA posted, and I now have no creep. My fairing is made by dragonfly.
Got some pretty high mph gusting winds in DFW this evening between the rain showers and thunderstorms but was inspired again when reading about these great SSC's, so I popped my 13" one on and went for a 60 mile ride this evening. Wow! Is there a better windshield for wind protection and smooooootttttthhhhh sailing? It also adds a whole new dimension to the look of the bike. With my 7" Standard shaped Cee Bailey...it looks good, but very typical. When I put on the SSC it seems to get real streamlined looking and adds a real pronounced look to the bike.
I haven't got one of these windshields yet but I'm going to get one soon I am 6'6 and have a stock seat so I'm thinking a 15incher would be suffice for me ? as to the 'riding up' problem I'm thinking some black vinyle mastic would stop this instantly
