they will have to be taking all apart did you use the lowering ones or the stock high ones
Not what I wanted to here, I thought maybe I could just take the plastic body pieces off and the fork cap then stick the C clip in. Oh well
I have the stock height monotubes and under guidance from Progressive I left both C clips out. Now I am thinking the ride and height might be better with one clip.

Without the C clips I dropped about 1.5 inches.
Expecting a set of those mono tubes in this week to rebuild the front-stock height also. Pulled the right fork apart and had less than an 1/2 ounce of fork fluid in it. Left side was OK. No wonder it was questionable at times in the front.
Based on what I seen from a video from Progressive they denoted those c-clips as being used as based on a person weight ? ? ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Correction: Unless I was short changed one C-clip mine came with 2-C-clips and I added them both per the instructions each side.
And yes, its a chore to get to. However, there might be some short cut methods on here as how to do it without a lot of tear down to get at them?

Under 200 pounds 1-clip, 2-clips 200 pounds, and then 3-clips for additional body weights-two up or loaded down. Myself I was going with 3-clips for more stiffness although I'd fit the 200 pound criteria.

Mine stock had low fluid levels too and that created terrible low speed operation before I swapped out to the mono tubes. I weigh around 215 and having 2 clips mad a huge difference and made it stiff. I don't thin I would want toadd a third to it. I think that would make it tooo stiff and almost unrideable. I think the kit only comes with two per side anyway.
I used 2 clips and it is just fine, I weigh 230, wife is 160, and even fully loaded on trips its good was going to use 3 but first I e-mailed Progressive and gave them the numbers and they told me to go with 2 told me 3 would be with 250+ rider and hefty passenger. and yes like others said to add a clip forks have to come off but its not that hard to do

For some reason I got this idea that they came with 3-C-clips for each side? Some type of brain fart or senior moment?
I installed 2 on each side that came with the kit. I'm at the same weight, 6 foot. Right now in the rebuild dilemma and sort of being overwhelmed by things to do. Can't wait to experience them first hand. And I agree, a third clip would make them stiff.

I am only maybe 175 with gear on. That is why Frank at Progressive recomended no c clips. After riding the bike for a little while i think i need 1 clip in there. I still have brake dive and it is sitting about 1.5 lower. I was told it would drop about an inch with no clips, but for me 1.5 is to much.
