the voltages in the o2 sensors are low, the current is millamps, extanding teh wires, adding any resistance might not be a good idea.

double check that your wires won;t reach

what are the new headers?

Hey, I might have the extension kit that you need as I bought one for my 12 Softail but never used it. Do you need reducers too? as in the kit they have the reducers. PM me and I'll let you know what exactly that I have.

Do not splice the O2 lead wires. Your best solution is to have new bungs welded in.

The oem placement of the sensor in the header is all part of the math that goes to the ECM for fuel delivery triggered by heat which is converted to millivolts which equals fuel delivery....mike do I have that right?

Not a good idea to mess with its voltage messages to ECM.
