I think he's blowing smoke up your ***. If there is corrosion on the filter it's an old filter.
Time for a new shop my friend. (I wont even mention doing it yourself)

If he only uses K&N then he should be able to show you your un-used Harley filter. And if he can show it to you I would ask to have the filter I bought and gave to him put on the bike as agreed when you initially dropped off the bike.

If I had bought the oil & filter myself I would have changed it myself & could of saved the extra cost of the service for the cost of gas for a month My 2 Cents

I would change the oil and filter. The guy must think you are a idiot and may be wanting to see how deep he can get into your pockets.

Get your money back and go have your oil actually changed. Don't ride for 3000 miles wondering the whole time if he really changed it.

And learn to do it yourself.

My neighbor came over to look at it and he thinks it is just the old k&n cover on a new filter and he said the oil looked new and dont worry about it. He has a harley also. Is that possible?
