Ok sitting on side of road
Just got gas went a half mile, in 5 th gear and bike just quits
No sputtering , no nothing
Looked at codes and I have 1016 and 1040
Bike cranks fine
Can hear fuel pump when turning on ignition
Sounds like good compression
Check throttle body connector
Any ideas??????
UPDATE: Got the bike home and working on it now. I have spark on both plugs. Can hear the fuel pump turn on but doesn't seem like plugs are getting any fuel. Took off quick disconnect and it seemed to come off really easy like no pressure in line, but eh pump is turning off after a few seconds when I turn on the ignition. Wouldn't that tell me the fuel pressure is building up at least in the pump?

I vaguely remember a thread about disconnecting the plug (can't remember the name) from behind the air cleaner and then try to start it. Sorry, but I hope that jogs some memories for more help.
What's the easiest way to check on the side of the road?
Pull plug and rest against the cylinder fins?
yes pull plug wire from spark plug stick screwdriver or similar in plug wire boot and hold 3/16 or so from cylinder hear and crank motor and watch for spark jumping gap
