Dealer called and said that my new Ultra would not be ready by the weekend for delivery. The Air, PCIII, and V&H Slip-ons are there ready for installation. They were going to install with a canned map till 1000 miles then dyno when loosen up. I'm a computer tech and I flash devices all the time from my laptop, any chance I can do it myself without screwing things up?
YES. It's really simple. With a good canned map, you can get about 85% of your bikes potential out of the closet. It will require a professional dyno tune to get that other 15%. Of course, you have to remember that you started with only 60%. I know alot of guys that are way satisfied at that 85% so don't feel bad if you want to stop there.
Did mine in 20 min easy as pie.Get a 9volt battery so you can send the canned map via usb cable.
I actually amd starting to tweak the canned map some for better fuel mileage.its pretty cool because you can have two maps on the screen at once for compareing.
Order from jamie at fuelmoto and he will install a custom map for your exact parts and you get an extra year of warranty, 291.00 delivered, piece of cake to install takes less than a hour from start to ride off.
