Default Header question please help

I'm ready to order a header for my bike and I have a question. I'm trying to decide (like everyone else) between 2-1-2 and true duals. I'm running Cfr's and a concern of mine is blue ing my right side muffler over time. With my stock decatted header I would say 75% of my exhaust goes through the right side and I would like to change that. I like the look and performance of the v&h power duals but I'm not sure how evenly it distributes exhaust gases? The s&s power tuned true duals are another option and by design maybe they do a better job of distributing the exhaust? Can anyone with either of these pipes let me know how well these header do of sending heat to the left side to share the load? Maybe true duals would be my best option, I just hate to give up the torque becouse motor work is on my checklist so it seems alittle counter productive? Please share your thoughts!

Cobra powerport head pipe is a good option.

how evenly the gasses come out is a minor concern...to me...but your priorities are maybe different

2/1/2 headers will have a couple of extra turns for the left side....consider that side an "overflow" once the right side is flowing capacity.

this is why some mufflers are set up with more restriction on the left side- that restriction will keep the velocity high

at lower rpms, the exhaust gasses through the right side will have good velocity and scavenging, both of which are good for performance.

HDF is doing funny things today, posting duplicate posts, including this one. I contributed to one thread that was so good HDF sent me some replies up to eight times!

I have the S&S Powertune duals on my RG, and I love them. Pressure pulses feel very even, I use a Dynajet Powervision and have not had to change the fuel map for the rear cylinder, so I think the scavenging of the whole set-up is good. Great looks, quality hardware, and great performance! I think I'll order another set for the EG!

I run the S&S header with V&H mufflers. It was tuned at my local dealer with a SE race tuner. It sounds great and runs even better.
Good luck in your decision.

If I had to do over it would either be true duels or a 2 into 1. The 2-1-2 is the worst of both worlds. Unless you restrict one muffler

Same as me on my SG. S&S PT Duals with RC slip-ons, SE AC, and a PowerVision. Runs good! Good Quality!
