I have a '10 SG and about 3 weeks ago I got cought in heavy rain for a few hundred miles. Probably the most rain my bike has seen in its 50k mile life. Ever since then my neutral light has flickered or stayed on in all gears. Tonight on my ride in to work my 6th gear indicator didn't come on and my cruise didn't work. To top it all off, my front brake light switch isn't working. Apparently when it rains it pours AND causes major electrical problems. Any ideas on where to start tracing this problem?
IF you removed the rt side hand controls without the shim as detailed in the manual...the front brake light switch is probably busted ( 5th time I've typed that phrase this week) replacement is about $60.
This will keep the CC from working
the neutral switch screws into the top of the tranny- the wire could be off of it - this sometimes happens when washing the bike. Or the switch could be bad.
the black wire is ground, the tan wire on the switch goes to the TSM/TSSM and Y's off to the indicator light
easy to swap the switch.
This could keep the 6 from working

Mike, first I'd like to say you are a wealth of knowledge and a true asset to this forum. I've never seen you give bad advise or chastise someone for asking a dumb question. That said, I'll start with your suggestions as soon as I get home. Thanks
