Ok. Bear with me. I'm learning. My question is do I turn the cable adjuster so it goes toward the throttle or away? I am assuming I turn it so it goes toward the throttle.
Identify the throttle cable from the retun cable. Pull back the rubber sleeve from the throttle cable under your RH grip. One cable is for the throttle the other one is for the throttle return. You'll only need to adjust the throttle cable. Using two wrenches, loosen the nut that locks the cable adjuster. Then, start turning the adjuster a few turns. Then move the grip around to check the amount of play. If the play lessen, then do a few more turns to the desired amount of play. Tighten the lock nut back with the two wrenches, slip the rubber sleeve back over the adjuster. You're done!

NO REASON FOR THROTTLE SLOP!!! Mechanics just didn't check after adjusting everything. TAKE IT BACK and tell them to fix it right!! I hate throttle slop, had it a couple of times after service, they took it out after i told them about it.
