Do it the old fashion way. If you decide to use the vacuum, move the lever slightly but keep the mavum low and go slow. The seals in the master can exert lot of pressure one way but it very easy to suck air into the system the other direction.

Take the bleeder out and match it up at your local auto parts outlet (NAPA has them).

hi was hoping to get some help.I bought a vacuum pump and was going to bleed the rear brakes as i had to change a brake switch i have the pump connected by hose to collection container and the other hose from container going to bleeder on caliper.I took of the top of the rear master cylinder pump the vacuum pump till i had a 15 psi the cracked opend the bleeder valve and its not drawing out any brake fluid what am i doing wrong?Thanks in advance
The vacuum just makes it easier by not having to close the calipers bleed nipple you leave it open while pumping the brake and adding new fluid.

$7 each or $15 each for stainless. I'd probably spring for stainless. I think that's what I put on mine.
