Default Reversion

So just a quick question, 2013 103 that previous owner had Cams, Khromewerks exhaust, High Flow air Intake. All done, I am unsure of the Cams as it was a Bike my wife won. The Dyno Sheet and Mastertune Tuner came with it. Anyways the question I have is between the High Flow intake and the Khromewerks Exhaust with the Baffles removed, does this make reversion worse? I understand what it is and I would think the Baffles being gone will amplify it. But without a set to re-istall I have no clue. Or is it a, it could make it better of worse? The sound is definitely the reversion Clucking coming through the intake. I can quiet it down by just cupping my hands around the top half of filter at idle. It also has a strange Lope that kills it on cold start for about 30 seconds. If I just hold throttle very very slightly at idle for about 20-30 seconds its gone and idles fine. I do understand the stock intake muffles it but did removing the baffles make it worse.

Having no baffles will worsen reversion. Since you don't have baffles I would recommend getting a pair of Thunder Torque Inserts from DK Customs. It should make the bike run and sound better, and they are not expensive.
I don't know if your model year still uses an IAC, but if it does, then try cleaning it to help your cold start idling. If you don't have that, it's most likely something that can be resolved with the tuner.

Dyno sheet sometimes mentions the cam used. (?)

Does Khromewerks offer the baffles ?

No cam info on the sheet, but yes Khromewerks has the baffles.

this was what I was thinking, I don't really even lke the sound without any baffles.

Thanks, yep thats what I found early on as thats the first thing I looked for. Had idle issues with my 05 RK and cleaning the IAC cleared that older Twin Cam idle right up.

I would put the Khrome werks baffles in. Putting them in doesn't necessarily mean less flow. Especially low and mid range rpms. I'm not a tuner but I would think it'll run better, smoother in those rpms. Exhaust manufacturers, at least good quality ones, design baffles for a reason, and not just for sound.

Baffles will definitely help but you need to remember that there is always atmospheric pressure going back up the pipe because of the cycle of the 4 stroke combustion engine.. Cam timing has a lot to do with how much reversion dilutes the new charge from the intake.. The more overlap the more reversion/dilution equaling less power.. The only cam that I ever had that was still climbing @6500 rpm was the Woods 8.. I believe it was because it only has 36* of overlap.. I liked it so much that I just reinstalled it a few weeks ago in my 98 Evo..
