Headlight O Ring Wire Spring

Default Headlight O Ring Wire Spring
recently purchased 2012 Ultra Classic and added a Visor to the headlight assembly by way of the chome O ring. As you may know their is a wire spring inserted at the top slight right of the ring. The problem is the ring wont snap at the top with or now without the visor and the assembly is loose.. any mcgyver techniques out there to snug this up???
