I have been riding for 12 years primarily with a 535 Virago. Loved it but wanted something with more torque. Upgraded to a 2012 XL883 Sportster last fall and still tweaking it. Really struggle with the mid controls (joints aren't what they use to be). I am vertically challenged (5-1/2") so forward control don't work. The dealership is going to install forward control then a reduced reach conversion kit. Has anyone had any experience with this change over? Given the cost I am nervous that it won't do the trick. Thoughts/comments are welcomed especially from those that perhaps have done the same.
