Default Different tire heights

I have a 2003 Road King and front and rear tires are supposed to be the same. My question is: can I use a stock size 130/90-16 on the front and a 140/90-16 on the rear?

the 140 is about 6 to 7 tenths higher and about 4 tenths wider. At 60 mph speedometer error is 1.7 MPH

Doesn't the speedometer use the front wheel? If it does, the speedo ratio would be the same, as long as the tire is exactly the same dia. I will gain a little more top end speed but lose a little hp.

Depends on the bike . HD mover away from the front speed cable some time back. Not even my 1996 use it. it uses a senor in trans. You will not lose any HP the change is so small you can not measure it.

Well then his 2003 does not use a gear driven cable.

Belt clearance will be tight but it works,I ran 140's on my 2000 Electra for hundreds of thousands of miles and 20 years.
