Engine issue?

Well...
Unless they have been changed out, you DO have the #18538-99C lifters... The OEM HD "C" lifters, as they are called, are generally considered sub standard (to be put kindly).....
Many people have had issues at less than 47K miles.... some have gone 100K miles with no issues
Most people (including me) will replace the OEM HD lifters anytime they go into the cam chest for anything.... tensioner repair, cam upgrade, etc... But they won't go into the cam chest, just to replace them...That is, barring a possible lifter issue....
You may be hearing the start of a lifter issue... Your lifters could be worn and they aren't pumping up and maintaining pressure like they used....
Not a huge job to replace the lifters, but can be time consuming depending on how you choose to do it... If you can't do the work yourself, the labor costs could be a few bucks....
